De-Webbing

Taking down old dust webs should be easy, but there is some decision making before you do a clean sweep with the broom.

1 Do any of the webs have active spiders? Then they have to stay.

2. Do any webs contain wrapped spider food? Then they stay.

Easy enough, except I left 4 active spiders in the powder room, in the hopes they are harmless spiders rather than brown recluses. If they were brown recluses, would they not be in hiding?

After de-webbing the rest of the house with my trusty broom I thought about active spiders in our small powder room. Perhaps I will check it again before company comes. But the spiders are my only allies against the flies. I have to cut them a break.
